Dr. Omar Ayala

Dr. Omar Ayala is a board-certified adult and child/adolescent psychiatrist. He received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and completed his adult psychiatry residency at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey. Dr. Ayala then pursued advanced training in child and adolescent psychiatry through the Drexel University College of Medicine fellowship program. With extensive experience in both adult and pediatric mental health, Dr. Ayala established Ayala Child, Adolescent & Adult Psychiatry in 2010, where he has dedicated himself to providing compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care to patients across the lifespan. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Ayala is committed to making mental health services accessible to diverse communities.
Gilda Ayala

Gilda Ayala is a dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Thomas Jefferson University in 2009 and completed her Master's degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care in 2011. Recognizing the critical intersection of physical and mental health, Gilda pursued additional training at Johns Hopkins University, where she obtained her Post-Master's certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Since joining Ayala Child, Adolescent & Adult Psychiatry in 2013, Gilda has been instrumental in providing comprehensive psychiatric care to patients of all ages. Her background as an adjunct clinical professor at Thomas Jefferson University reflects her commitment to education and advancing the field of psychiatric nursing.
